Northwestern University Baseball Cards

Chin Music Bat Knob Decals

In early 2020, I began making baseball bat knob decals for myself and my teammates. Interest quickly grew, and before long I began building my business. The most exciting part of this process was building a brand identity for my new company. Take a look at some of my branding below.

Social Media Spot

During the 2023 baseball season, I designed and wrote copy for a set of baseball cards for the Northwestern University baseball team.

Chin Music creates decals that players put on the knob of their bats. Bat knob decals have always just featured a name and number, but that doesn't mean they have to. This social media spot features several examples of ways players can customize their bats with Chin Music. 

Social Media Campaign

This campaign ran on Chin Music's Instagram account and highlighted specific decals that we sold. It also was the first appearance of our new logo. I wrote the copy and edited the ads using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop.

Chapman University Baseball

In August of 2020, I took control of Chapman Baseball's Instagram account. In two years of running it, I grew the account into the largest social media account in NCAA Division III baseball, more than tripled our follower count, and expanded to TikTok. Our posts were featured on SportsCenter and TSN and reposted by Barstool Sports.

Opening Day Film

This social media film was posted the day before our home opener in 2022 with the purpose of increasing awareness for the beginning of the season. I shot and edited the video, as well as designed the Opening Day logo. 

Playoff Hype Video

At the beginning of the 2021 playoffs, we posted a promotional hype video to the team Instagram account. This video also revealed our playoff rebrand, which featured a new gold logo and font. The video received 7,078 impressions on Instagram and was our most shared video post. 

Instagram Graphics

On top of producing video content for our feeds, I would also frequently post graphics. This gave me lots of practice with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Here are several examples.

FILGO Film Poster

As part of a film advertising class I took my senior year, I was paired with a film student and tasked with creating a poster and tagline for their thesis film. The film I was assigned, FILGO, is a documentary about an aging photographer in Alaska.
